Ginger Lemon Cherry Glaze
We use organic, fair trade, and or local ingredients when possible.
1 1/2 cups of pitted fresh cherries
2 tbs brown sugar
1 tbs honey (use all honey and no sugar if it’s not your style)
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp chopped fresh tarragon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Zest of one lemon
1/2 lemon, juiced
Sprinkle of salt
1 tsp corn starch
1 tsp water
Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan except corn starch and water.
When everything is bubbling – mix corn starch and water in a glass and pour into the sauce pan.
Boil until it reaches desired thickness.
Use to top chicken, steak, ham, pork, salmon… or for a savory/spicy ice cream topping J
